OCLC Connexion Client:  Lists of Commands

The documents listed below consist of locally selected lists of some of the most commonly used commands in OCLC's Connexion client.

• OCLC Connexion Client:  Some Basic Commands
        Covers logging on and off; exiting the client; setting preferences; handling client windows; printing; exporting records; and getting help.

• OCLC Connexion Client:  Searching and Retrieving Commands
        Primarily for searching and retrieving bibliographic records in WorldCat.  Many commands also work when searching and retrieving authority records.

• OCLC Connexion Client:  Save File Commands
        Covers the bib record save files, both the online save file and the local save file.

• OCLC Connexion Client:  Holdings Commands
        Covers updating and deleting our local holdings, as well as viewing holdings of other libraries.

• OCLC Connexion Client:  Authority Record Searching and Saving Commands
        Covers searching and browsing LC/NACO name and subject authority records; saving and searching records in the online and local authority save files.

• OCLC Connexion Client:  Controlling Headings Commands
        Covers controlling and uncontrolling a single heading at a time or all headings in the bib record.

• OCLC Connexion Client:  Editing Commands and Shortcuts
        Covers copying, cutting, and pasting; adding and moving fields; deleting text, words, and fields; entering diacritics and special characters;
        reformatting; validating; and undoing editing.

• OCLC Connexion Client:  Moving Around within a Record
        Covers moving between fields and cells; within cells; and from one record area to another.

• OCLC Connexion Client:  Commands for Creating and Replacing Bib Records
        Covers creating record workform; deriving record; adding record to database; locking and releasing record; and replacing record
